Privacy Policy

1. Using the app

You do not need an account, name, email address, or phone number to use PauseDeck. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers.

Your exercise responses and progress are processed on your device. We do not receive your writing or send it to an AI service.

2. Writing and favorites

Writing, exercise selections, counters, and timer progress remain in temporary app memory. They clear when you leave the card or the app process ends. Simply switching to another app may leave the current card open in memory.

Favorites and preferences are saved locally. Saving a card does not save your writing. Local settings may be included in your device’s backup or transfer features; PauseDeck does not provide its own cloud sync.

3. Purchases and technical information

Apple processes purchases. PauseDeck uses purchase-entitlement information to unlock and restore paid features. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics and crash data with app developers, Apple may show us aggregated crash and usage reports. We use them only to fix problems. Apple also gives us sales figures that do not identify you. PauseDeck has no analytics, crash-reporting, or other third-party software of its own, and keeps no logs.

4. Our website

hellopausedeck.com is hosted by Google (Firebase Hosting). Google’s servers log the technical information needed to deliver the site, such as your IP address and the page requested, for a short period. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics.

5. Contacting support

When you email us at support@hellopausedeck.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments. We use them to respond, resolve problems, and handle privacy requests. Our email runs on Google Workspace, so Google processes these messages to deliver that service. Contacting support does not subscribe you to marketing. Please don’t include health details; if you do, we use them only to reply.

We retain support messages only as long as needed to resolve the issue, maintain necessary support records, or meet legal obligations. Purchase-related business records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes. Apple controls its own transaction records.

We may disclose information we hold when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

6. Deletion and privacy requests

You can remove favorites in the app or delete the app. Device backups are managed separately through your device. We cannot recover cleared writing or remotely access it.

To request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, email legal@hellopausedeck.com. We will verify and respond to requests as required by applicable law and explain any legal reason for retaining information.

7. Adults only

PauseDeck is for people 18 and older. We do not collect personal information from anyone through the app, and we do not knowingly collect it from anyone under 18 by email. If you believe someone under 18 has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

8. Consumer health data

PauseDeck does not collect, share, or sell consumer health data as defined by Washington’s My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370, or similar state laws. Your exercise responses never leave your device. Because we collect no such data, there is no separate consumer health data policy.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version at hellopausedeck.com/privacy and update the date. If we ever start collecting information, we will update this policy first and the app will ask before anything is sent.
